EPS - Electronic prescription Service

We are asking all our patients to sign up to the electronic prescription service please see the information and video which explains what this is.

Repeat Prescriptions

You will no longer be able to order your repeat prescription by telephone.  Please use the on-line facility via the link at the top of this page. If you are not already registered to use this service, please ask reception.  Alternatively you can post your tear off slip through the letterbox at the front door.

Please allow at least 48 hours for your prescription to be processed. If you are asking for medication that is not on repeat, this can take up to 72 hours.

Repeat Dispensing

To help you improve access to your regular medication we have introduced repeat dispensing for some patients who we feel this is appropriate for this will mean a batch of prescriptions will be sent to your nominated Pharmacy electronically who will dispense it for you at regular 28 day intervals this maybe 6 months to 12 months supply.  When the last batch has been dispensed the Community Pharmacist will inform you that you need to contact the surgery team for a medication review, this may include you needing up to date blood tests, blood pressure monitoring and other routine tests to ensure you have continued safety on your prescribed medication.

You may receive a phone call or a text message informing you that your medication will now be set up as repeat dispensing.

We see this as a great move forward for you as a patient and our Clinical team here at Prospect medical group.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
